Concert Videos
The Marvin Stamm Quartet in Concert

These video clips on this page are taken from two "live" performances. Clips 1 - 5 are from my new DVD/CD set , Alone Together, taped and recorded from the live concert performed Nov. 5, 2006, at Rising Jazz Stars in Beverly Hills, California. Clips 6 - 12 are taken from a concert peformed several years ealier at the Manchester Craftsmen's Guild (MCG) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. These clips will allow you to experience a true taste of the quartet at work. If you are interested in the music from the DVD/CD set, Alone Together, it is available from this Web site's CDs Page. The music from the MCG concert is not available for purchase.
The members of my group – Bill Mays, piano; Rufus Reid, bass; Ed Soph, drums – are extraordinary musicians who are at the very top of their game. The level of artistry of this ensemble is a constant source of inspiration to the four of us, and the communication we share with one another will be apparent to one and all. I hope you enjoy the clips that you see and the music that you hear.

I want to thank Marty Ashby of the Manchester Craftsmens Guild for allowing me to use these video clips. The MCG is one of the finest arts organizations in the country, working with youth and the community to promote music and the visual arts. Please learn more about the MCG at their Website: http://www.manchesterguild.org/indexflash.htm.

[** Editor's note: One of the most creative of Jazz guitarists, John Abercrombie appears playing on some ensemble passages and also solos on my composition, "Samba du Nancy." John is not a member of the quartet, but has appeared several times as a guest artist with the quartet.]
